Story
With Coronavirus restricting fund raising activities for Pewsey Carnival this year. The Firefighters of the village wanted to do something to help support the local community event, and couldn't think of a better way than emulating the epic voyage down the River Avon to the sea. Marking the 100th anniversary of the first challenge set by locals for a £5 bet. Unfortunately we won't be able to row the length of the Avon, but would like to set a new time on foot and lay the gauntlet down for future generations. We will follow the Pewsey Avon Trail and the Avon Valley Path to the sea totalling a distance of 62 miles. If it would be fantastic if you could please sponsor us, all money raised will go to Pewsey Carnival.
